lizhou is so delicious... would love anything precanon for them, about the development of their relationship or how it was before everything changed. fix-its or li lun character pieces are also welcome. them finding their way back to each other post-canon, whatever far flung starcrossed au you can think of for them. li lun's perspective on what happened between them would be neat, since it's not really explored in canon and it's clear that a lot of it is just that he feels very, very hurt and abandoned. if you choose to go the polycule route, how they fit into this new configuration is also welcome. "being chosen firmly" is a recurring theme in canon as well, so seeing that applied to this particular ship would be really interesting considering their... everything.

i'm actually ok if llh dies at the end of the series (dfs is the one who is never ok again) but for the purpose of this exchange — how do they bring him back? did dfs realize his feelings beforehand or not until it was too late? what does he do? what has he like in the interim? or if you prefer the bad end, dfs in the aftermath. does he keep looking forever? does he eventually give up?

anything pre-canon about dfs and lxy and how they became to be so unhinged about one another.

by some contrivance dfs has to deal with llh and lxy at the same time! how does he handle that, and how do they handle each other?

really anything exploring the weird shifu/uncle/older bro/quasi-friend space llh's relationship with fdb occupies; the deliberate gap llh maintains between the two of them is the most interesting thing about their relationship to me, and i'd love to see someone explore it in a gen setting. llh stratifies their relationship in various ways, including senior + junior, older relative + younger relative, and master + disciple; fdb attempts to get around all of these, but llh never lets him. maybe seeing it from an outside perspective (dfs)? idk, dig in.

the many loves of yu shishan, but most specifically his love of the liudao boyband; can be about his general views on love and its various guises and the way its shaped his life, about his persona vs his true self, etc. can be mildly shippy with qian zhao if you feel like it.

yu shishan and grief; he had to send off each of his brothers until he and nyz were the only ones left; what was that like and what was his thought process leading up to his self-sacrifice? his thoughts as he lost each one if you feel like twisting the knife.

i love these two with their shitty family vibe with son fei liu... i'd be interested in the little interstitial moments like that, before series proper, when mcs is still becoming mcs, when their dynamic is just forming, or the version where mcs survives but disappears as far as anyone in the capital is concerned.

ok god. i'm obsessed with their dynamic in the middle part of the show where we're not sure if he really doesn't know who she is or if he's pretending and she keeps challenging him. i love how blurry the line between love and hate is with them and would love any exploration of either of their psyches during this period. would also love to see the version where he took her deal at his banquet and made the choice to try to get back on the right path. does he succeed? does he try very hard but fail? what does that mean for their tangled up mess of a relationship? honestly will gobble up anything about them.
