anything pre-canon about dfs and lxy and how they became to be so unhinged about one another.

di feisheng and grief. in the original script he had to kill his older brother at di fortress. in canon, it's implied he had a closer relationship with wuyan and the three kings than with the rest of the jinyuan alliance. by the end of canon, he loses the last of the three kings and, perhaps, li lianhua. he's not given to dwelling on things, but how does he deal with so much loss?

by some contrivance dfs has to deal with llh and lxy at the same time! how does he handle that, and how do they handle each other?

llh being the one who gets jealous/possessive over dfs.

reincarnation or any situation where llh is the one who has to pursue dfs (with or without memories).

really anything exploring the weird shifu/uncle/older bro/quasi-friend space llh's relationship with fdb occupies; the deliberate gap llh maintains between the two of them is the most interesting thing about their relationship to me, and i'd love to see someone explore it in a gen setting. llh stratifies their relationship in various ways, including senior + junior, older relative + younger relative, and master + disciple; fdb attempts to get around all of these, but llh never lets him. maybe seeing it from an outside perspective (dfs)? idk, dig in.

yang ying post canon!!!! how she deals with the fall out of the series, the burdens of leadership, and her burgeoning relationship with li tongguang. their relationship can remain platonic or become romantic, either is fine, but i want the focus to be on yang ying juggling all of this and how she blossoms with it.

the many loves of yu shishan, but most specifically his love of the liudao boyband; can be about his general views on love and its various guises and the way its shaped his life, about his persona vs his true self, etc.

yu shishan and grief; he had to send off each of his brothers until he and nyz were the only ones left; what was that like and what was his thought process leading up to his self-sacrifice?

the version where yu shishan lives. whether or not anyone else did is up to you, but what would it mean, specifically, if yang ying had one less ghost?

i also really love dong'er's dynamic with wang zhi so something with the two of them would be fun.

ding rong's thought processes leading up to the end of the series and how he justifies his choices; did he chafe for a long time, was he simply given a deal too good to pass up, what happened?

postcanon rongzhi slowly unraveling their unresolved romantic tension after the betrayal. i prefer them to not have had an established relationship prior in this scenario, but perhaps some near misses, and a lot of unacknowledged emotions.
